This past weekend was the 4th Bloggiesta hosted by Natasha at Maw Books. It's a blogging marathon where you get all your blogging housekeeping done that hasn't been getting done. Nobody needs a Bloggiesta more than I do, but it never fails that I'm always totally booked the weekend of Bloggiesta - all four of them. Therefore, since I'm not busy this coming weekend, I've decided to have my own lonely Bloggiesta for better or worse. It might not be nearly as fun and community involved and all those good things I've been missing by, you know, never being home to attend to the needs of my blog during the allotted Bloggiesta days, but I'm taking the idea and borrowing the picture, even, and here's hoping I can accomplish some things. Some of these things in particular...
- Write
-
-
-
- Experiment with a new feature I've been toying with and see if its regularly doable
- Whip my review books spreadsheet into shape
- Make a pretty banner for the header (!!!)
-
-
- Finish the Book Review by Title Archive
-
-
- Comment on
And/or whatever else I can think of. Wish me luck!
Good luck! I am doing a Bloggiesta continued this weekend b/c I didn't get that much done last weekend so I will check in on you!
ReplyDeleteOMG Megan--I don't know which I'm more excited about--your review of The Knife of Never Letting Go or you Leafy Awards!!!! Good luck--looks like you've got lots of work ahead of you--I hope it all seems like fun work! :D And now I'm off to see if I can find you on LibraryThing.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot to get accomplished. Sometimes I wonder if I should have more goals for my blog, but then I realize that none of that stuff sounds very fun and I'd rather be reading, so I just kind of forget about making my blog super-spiffy. Good luck getting it all done!
ReplyDeleteColleen - Glad to hear I'm not fake bloggiesa-ing by myself! Hope you're getting lots done. =)
ReplyDeleteDebi - Yay, we're LT friends now! The Leafy's were my first task today, so they'll be posting tomorrow (finally). The Knife of Never Letting Go may be on the list...even though I *still* have to write the review. Anyhow - hope you enjoy! =D
Lexi - I'm usually pretty goal-less about my blog, but I feel like I'm behind on so many things that it'll actually make me feel good to put some serious time into my blog for the first time in awhile and get out from under all of these things I'm always wishing I had time to do! Happy reading!
I'm always busy for the summer one so I try to do as much as I can in the January version! This time I had almost no time to work because I was out of town a lot, grr...
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea, doing your own Bloggiesta! It looks like you've already gotten some things done. I think I like the idea of having an ongoing blog project list, the kinds of things I'd do during Bloggiesta, so that whenever I have some spare time, I already know what needs to be done!
